          Konark is city of orissa which is well known historical place and tourist place in the world.Yes,I am talking about Sun temple of konark.It is also known as Black pagoda.Konark sun temple is built in 13th century by Narsimahadeva.In this Article I will tell you history about konark sun temple,Architecture of this temple and more interesting stories about it.

        This sun temple is great example of orissian architecture.It is world heritage site in the world and also it is one of the seven wonders of india.Samba constructed this sun temple in honour of lord sun.Samba is son of lord krishna.The name konark is derived from two different sanskrit word 'kona' and 'arka' .'kona' means angle and 'arka' means sun.Now let me know you about the look of sun temple.The entire temple has been conceived as a chariot of the sun god with 24 wheels, each about 10 feet in diameter, with a set of spokes and elaborate carvings.Seven horses are dragging the entier temple and two lions guards the sun temple.
